View Full Version : Obama in a worse category than Bush in my book.

Obama has swindled the American people, advocating "change" throughout the entirety of his campaign and delivering nothing of the sort. The examples I'm going to cite here are not a complete sum of atrocities I see seeping from the pores of this "administration", however it's enough to completely discredit his entire platform and strip him of the title of being a "man of integrity".

1. The troop surge in Afghanistan. During the campaign for the most prestigious of jobs, Mr. Obama won the hearts and minds of the working class, mothers and fathers of our beloved soldiers, and servicemen alike on the premise that he would bring our young boys and girls HOME in a swift manner. 12- 14 months. Once sworn in that story changed to 20 - 24 months, then to a permanent force of 50,000 that will be stationed in Iraq indefinitely. In all honesty, we as Americans should have seen this coming. Tell me one country we have used as a "theater of war" in the past that we don't have a permanent force in? The sheer number of soldiers stationed around the globe maintaining our global "American Hegemony", as Brzezinski would put it, is sickening.

2. The "Trillion Dollar Wild Card". When our country is in the midst of the greatest financial turmoil it has seen in the HISTORY OF ITS EXISTENCE it is not the time to get drunk on the Federal Reserve kool-aid and become the architect of another socialist "New Deal" or allocate even more money to the crooks using tax payer money to consolidate our nation's wealth into the hands of the already powerful few. Obama's cabinet selection alone should raise the hairs on the neck of EVERY American. Also, interest rates should be through the roof right now, close the "fed window" as some call it. You and I both know this will never happen under this watch. Again, only a glancing look at Obama's appointees confirm this.

3. The Patriot Act and every TREASONOUS executive order put in place by the Bush regime still exists. If I were running on the platform of "change" this would have been the 2nd order of business for me (bringing our men and women home from 2 illegal wars would have taken precedence). Also, a review of every illegal executive order from their inception to the present would be a priority. These "orders" are the #1 threat to the checks and balances put in place by our founders and the main root cause of the erosion of our civil liberties here in this great country. Here are a few of the worst:(not all of these are authored by Bush, some are over 30 years old and more, but when it comes to treason not even Lincoln's emancipation proclamation would be safe from review)

allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.

specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.
grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.
assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.
Assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period
allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation. General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA's Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA's role as a "new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis." FEMA's powers were consolidated by President Carter to incorporate the:
National Security Act of 1947
allows for the strategic relocation of industries, services, government and other essential economic activities, and to rationalize the requirements for manpower, resources and production facilities.
1950 Defense Production Act
gives the President sweeping powers over all aspects of the economy.
Act of August 29, 1916
authorizes the Secretary of the Army, in time of war, to take possession of any transportation system for transporting troops, material, or any other purpose related to the emergency.
International Emergency Economic Powers Act
enables the President to seize the property of a foreign country or national. These powers were transferred to FEMA in a sweeping consolidation in 1979

Ran out of space., I can keep going, but is this not enough?

We asked for change. But after trillions of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars have been frittered away, all we're getting is chump change.

Obama is worse is the following respects

1. For conservatives, he's more socialist
2. For liberals, he's got the face of a solution, a backstabber in reality

Bottom line is the same, if people don't look out for themselves, they deserve it.
