I had this link dropped on me when debating on another forum. I don't know where to even begin considering that I never herd of this in the first place. My premise was that people were fine before FDA and were more responsible with what they purchased.

http://books.google.com/books?id=ppsUAAAAYAAJ&dq=%22Foods+and+Food+Adulterants%22&printsec=frontcover&source=bl&ots=8BOV47EfnC&sig=w0CD37aDB9v19niO5d-YfmiTGfk&hl=en&ei=vIPJSa-5O6nmnQfVo42YAw&sa=X&oi=book_result&resnum=1&ct=result

Does anyone know what the book in question is about? Any helpful tips?

How are they going to drop a huge ass link on you.. drop some anti fda links back with 1000 pages in the book, that's cheap debating.

I just read through the table of contents and relevant passages. The impression I got that it has nothing to do with dangers of unregulated market. The bad practices they saw never happened in US in the first place, they admit to it.

Post links to the FDA approving Vioxx.

Post links to Baeyer aspirin knowingly shipping factor 8 that was infected with HIV.

Give them links to all of the criticisms of the fact that the FDA is funded by the very industry it regulates.
