This is from a following thread:

anarchist is considered by most a negative word.

From my interactions with others, the following are negative words/phrases that are used against libertarians.

1. Drug legalization
2. Pro-prostitution
3. Anti-government
4. Gun-nut
5. Conspiracy-nut

Question: What would be better terms?
Are there other words/phrases associated with libertarian movement that are considered negative, and what woul be a better term?

Note: The new terms must appeal to:
Mothers who do not want their little Tommy smoking pot.
Religious zealots who want to impose their morals on others.
Whites who are terrified of young black hoodlums with handguns.

Here are a few ideas:

1. Anti prohibition (anti-gang)
2. Anti prohibition (anti-street walker)
3. Pro liberty
4. Pro second amendment
5. Hmm ... open minded thinker? If someone's really off the deep end, I'm not sure you can make it look good.

And, for those who haven't heard me say it:

anarchist --> voluntaryist
no government --> voluntary government

Actually looking at it, I think "Pro-Personal Responsibility" applies to 1-4.
5 is hard....

Nothing really positive sounding about Conspiracy theorist. "Pro-Government Oversight" perhaps?

Can further the discussion to include reducing power and influence of Mexican Cartels and such...

Why?

We can't expect to actually change people's beliefs!
