We are all discussing this as a new project as I am sure there are a bunch of these meetup groups are going up FAST!

Here's the one in my town already! Started recently and already TONS of members and large meetings!

People need to join up and influence da masses and NOT let Glenn Beck and his minions brainwash others with a skewed phony conservative movement. I think if there isn't a meetup in you town, start one and they'll come! Take over and influence people.

There's no reason to attack Beck. He's bringing thousands to this effort. But, you're right, if we join up, we can slowly feed them information. Heck, if nothing else, we need to turn them onto Napolitano's new web show, as an intermediate step. Since it's from FOX, they'll probably watch it.

Agreed. And I think most of us are likely know more about the stuff Beck is bringing to their attention than the avg Beck viewer who is just discovering all is not right in the world. They will be more open to listening if we are careful and tactful. They'll be looking for local 'leaders' who know this stuff at these meetups!

Napolitano is a great idea!

Get some Michael Scheuer videos up there. A lot of these neocons need to be deprogrammed from their warmongering views.

Peter Schiff for Senate: http://www.schiff2010.com/ Dodd = epic fail!

While you're at it, draft Judge Andrew Napolitano to public office, draft Rand Paul for Senate, draft Debra Medina for Texas Governor, and draft RJ Harris to Congress!

They need to learn to think for themselves and be their own leaders, not just do whatever Beck says. I guarantee, in 2012 he'll be blindly supporting the Republican nominee just to defeat Obama and his socialist agenda. The lesser of two evils is getting us nowhere.

I like this idea but I'm afraid people are going to have aggressive attitudes about Beck and spout conspiracy crap about him trying to hijack the movement. Please tell me I'm wrong.

No, me either. It's clear when they keep saying noone stands up for principles in the Republican party.

I guess they're trying to break Ron Paul's record for MeetUps now.

Bogus.

We need "Freedom Watch" on Cable TV ..

If you want to do something constructive, hand out free copies of "Economics in One Lesson" or a similar Austrian tome. Austrian economics seems to have this way of altering your brain and making it a lot harder to ignore or hide from reality.

I think Tom Woods' "Meltdown" is a more accessible and readable book for conversions.

To me it almost should be called "An Introduction to Austrian economics". I think "Economics in one lesson" could be called that as well. I just think Tom's book is better used for the purpose you suggest.

Enjoy.
