That idiot stands no chance. God forbid someone tries to bring money which was wrongfully taken back to the district they are supposed to represent, this idiot would probably rather have it go to Iraq instead.

Chris Peden had more "credibility" as far as the political world goes imo. I'm just going to click and look but I suggest not making any comments...it only encourages him.

Ugh it's sooo tempting though.

Funny thing about earmarks...I would love for him to make the case to the voters in the district: "I believe Barack Obama's appointees and federal bureaucrats 1400 miles away can do better with your money than your local congressional representative".

You think he punishes\fails students who wear Ron Paul shirts to his geography classes?

...it would be so tempting to do that if you lived there.

Well, earlier I posted:

Jeff, it seems that you, like many Americans, are confusing earmarks with pork. Earmarks do not add a single penny's worth of spending to the budget. Instead, they simply ensure that the money is spent in a certain way. By voting against an earmark you do not save any money but instead give the executive branch unfettered discretion in how to spend it. The $750 billion bailout is an example of un-earmarked spending; as congressman Paul points point, if we had been able to earmark that money, we would have at least known where it was going.

Think of this like Dr. Paul's position on taxes. He votes against all tax increases, and in fact has a plan to eliminate the income tax altogether. However, he sees no problem with letting the people take back some of their money in the form of tax rebates, especially since it shouldn't have been taken from them in the first place.

If you post, make sure you accidently call him Jeff the plummer.

If Jeff can't grasp the earmark concept than he has no business running for office.

'Ole flareaschino just wants to have his [political] cherry busted by Ron Paul. Dude's probably a masochist and will get some kind of gratification by being humiliated.

Chris Peden was credible. He is the mayor of a city in Ron Paul's district. He had like 150,000 dollars (most of it his own money though) and the support of neocons everywhere. There was a legit fear that the neocons who dominate republican primaries would punish Paul for his anti-war stance. It failed, Peden lost 71-29. That on the heels on Cynthia Sinatra's 78-22 loss to Paul in the 2006 republican primary.

This guy has no name, no experience, no money and no chance. He is this year's Andy Mann. If no one else comes along in the primary, Paul will slaughter him around 80-20. If Peden comes along again (he said he would, but who knows he is still very much in debt), this "Andy Mann" Cherry will be quickly forgotten.
