The March 21st March on the Pentagon is shaping up to be a dramatic and highly significant demonstration. From the Pentagon, we will march to the nearby giant corporate offices of Boeing Company, Lockheed Martin Corporation, General Dynamics and KBR (the former subsidiary of Halliburton).

There are 64 departure locations in 20 states bringing thousands of activists to Washington, D.C. Large numbers of students from across the country are mobilizing to join the demonstration.

We will be carrying hundreds of coffins representing the victims of war from Iraq to Afghanistan, Palestine, Pakistan, Lebanon, Somalia, Yemen, and the U.S. GIs who have been killed in the various fronts of George W. Bush’s proclaimed "endless war." Bush is gone but these criminal occupations and unilateral bombing attacks continue each and every day. Tens of thousands more troops are being sent to Afghanistan. In the last month civilian deaths in Iraq spiked and the occupation continues to cost $480 million each day. The people of Gaza are living under siege.

We will deliver these coffins to the doorsteps of the biggest war corporations and profiteers who make up the anchor of the Military-Industrial Complex.

Precious and limited resources are diverted from education, jobs, housing and health care, and given to these war corporations. The huge profits derived from war become an incentive for more war. We need a real change and that’s why we are marching in the thousands on March 21.
