Ever since he was purposing stripping VA benefits, I've been scratching my head trying to figure it out. This is not some like his little blurt on leno, the retard gaffe. This was a thought-out policy issue he took a position on, a position that is mind-bogglingly stupid and does not have a shred of usefulness for him to use as a bluff/politcal card. Since this guy is being completely controlled by his puppet masters, what do you think his masters were trying to pull? Something is fishy about this, even moreso than the normal odor of Obamanomics: catch of the day.

I can only guess that the staffers are keeping him up every night.

The same thing that possesses them all, divide and conquer, power and control. Keep the people fighting among themselves and GROW THE STATE. ;)

Problem --> Reaction --> Solution. ( lather, rinse, repeat )

It divided no one. In fact, people of every political stripe were all collectively outraged over the idea, especially with odumba talking about universal healthcare for all out of one side of his mouth and cutting off VA healthcare benefits out of the other. And the response was quite predictable.

What possessed him? If it wasn't Satan, it was certainly one of his lieutenants. :(

My first thought is, he's leading into a 'socialist health care will take care of everyone' type argument, but if he were he would have followed up on it by now. The only thing that would short-circuit that is that they got wind of our efforts to equate socialistic health care with the substandard conditions at Walter Reed and such issues, and decided that would work too well. But surely they got wind of that before he spouted off with this...

Which brings me back to square one. Don't know.

I would disagree, on one side you have people who care so much about health care they don't care about the vets, on the other side you have people who care so much about vets that they don't care about health care. Outside of this government created situation they would probably get along, but now they are at odds at each other.

You can't say it outraged everyone because if that was true no one would support Obama.

 Wow. Looks like Woodrow Wilson has found his Colonel House. Thanks for the great article. (Yes, I caught the reference that Rahm is "the devil himself". Well played!)

Yea, Im not sure why he would even go after this one. Seems like too small of an issue to be worth going after for the sake of saving money, and the political blowback is potentially huge.

Its like saying, "That 90 year old WW2 hero in the wheelchair owes me $5, make sure he pays up". You look like an ass, and the damage to your political capital far outweighs any benefits.

We'll see how much damage this really did to Obama's political capital in 4 years.

Ummm, the AntiChrist?

Seriously, on this issue, I have no idea, other than maybe just pure hubris, "Look what we can do, and you proles can't do a damn thing about it!"

Injured troops prefer combat to recovery at Bragg

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) -- Soldiers in a recovery unit for wounded troops at Fort Bragg told the Secretary of the Army that they feel forgotten by the military and that combat duty would be better than the treatment they get now, according to a memo obtained by the Associated Press.
