View Full Version : Glenn Beck: "Some folks have compared me to Tammy Faye Baker".

That was what he said said at the end of the Penn Gillette segment on the 19 March show.

Watch it here. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RoQhyRXCT1M)

Now, he may be more right than he thought.

For those of you youngsters here who might not know who Jim and Tammy Faye Baker were, suffice it to say, they ran a corrupt tele-evangelism network back in the 80's and scammed millions of dollars from people.

The "shtick" included many tearful, weeping, phony invectives delivered by Tammy Faye, begging for more contributions to do "God's work", which, presumably included lavish lifestyles for the two of them.

After watching some clips, and closely watching this show tonight, I'm convinced his critics are right.

This man is a two bit hustler, a con man, a fraud.

The information he is giving out, certainly technically correct, will be forever tainted as he continues down this path and eventually the "con" is exposed, thereby discrediting anything and everything he may have said previously.

He is not to be trusted, he is running a racket, do not give him any credibility.

I have to admit, you cannot be happy with the good being done because of the differences with the messenger, and the amount of anger spewed at the man is actually a reflection of your own silliness which is funny to me. Beck is far more right than wrong now (I admit to not liking him much at all 10 years ago), but I have seen his change over the last decade and all of the anger and hatred because his message isn't pure to your liking is actually funny.

You aren't attacking O'Reilly or Hannity, but the guy who most closely represents our cause. I would find all these alligator tears of anger against the man worthwhile if I saw the same anger towards the baffoons doing insane damage.

Beck has done more for the cause of liberty than just about everyone here on the forum. The media is that powerful, you might want to fight some true unabashed enemies and then pick on his impure version of your views.

There is a reason for Beck's latest sermons. They know that the vast majority of Americans are peaceful, even when pissed.
He is targeting the small minority of the radicals. They want someone to "GO OFF". That will give an excuse for a reaction.
Don't take the bait.
And don't trust him, he is not our friend.

Glen Beck - The Ron Paul Revolution is a DANGER to America. *Edit: to correct title.

Have Ron Paul supporters lost their collective minds--thinking this man is real and sincere? His talking points from the above show are outlined in the MIAC report for goodness sakes!

Correction, the remarks were implied. I should not have put "quote marks" over the title.

Beck, however, concluded his segment by declaring the “Ron Paul Revolution” is “meant as a catchy slogan, but I fear some of his fringe supporters are taking the word ‘revolution’ too literally.”

If we can reinforce his message without painting him as some kind of god for sheeple to worship, he'll do us no harm. May all trolls be so useful.

Beck offers no solutions. All he is doing is poking, poking, poking...to the point it will push some to the edge and over. When things get worse, (and they will) what will Project 912 do to help them feed their family, or pay their mortgages or just basically survive? A lot of platitudes and a warm fuzzy feeling inside isn't going to help people who are desperate and have lost their dignity and self-worth.

You take truth and spin it, it becomes a dangerous mix. Beck is doing just that. People need to know the truth, not half-truths and prepare accordingly.
