Yea, good besides the universal service and a few other things like the Electoral College.

Is this the same thing Beck played on his radio show today?

Beck went on saying he's rewriting Common Sense for the current time but I wonder just how honest he's being about having the idea. In other words, I wonder if he really got 'his' idea from Common Sense Revisited that was released last year.

I believe it is the same one. I didn't hear the part 2 about universal service that's definitely a step away from liberty not towards. So much for common sense. ;(

Yeah, pity he buys the official 911 story, and wants 2 years of service, and abolishing the electoral college. Apparently not much of a Thomas Paine really. Nice vid though. Viral potential.

oh ok. I was referring to OP's link.

His videos seem to put forward a very nationalistic/protectionistic version of the constitution... Too bad he couldn't have put forward a more strict libertarian message and talked less about immigration issues (he says he wants E-verify to be funded...) and involuntary servitude. As RP says, if you dislike illegal immigration - strike the root - get rid of all the welfare and freebies.

Yea, good besides the universal service and a few other things like the Electoral College.

If we're going to change the way voting works, I'd like to see state governments elect senators again. That would strike a blow for states rights.

What a pompous bag of wind. This guy doesn't hold a candle to Thomas Paines' Intellect or Humanity.

For anyone who thinks this trash was a good take on Thomas Paine (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfRIIM9cRQc)
