That MIAC report on militias: background you won't find anywhere else (looong post alert) (http://delawarelibertarian.blogspot.com/2009/03/that-miac-report-on-militias-background.html)

He concludes:

This is an unhealthy situation, a dangerous situation to say the least, before we even get into privacy and civil liberties issues.

Regardless of the intent of the authors of this report, there is at least a considerable body of circumstantial evidence to suggest that it will be interpreted by some if not many individual police officers in exactly the way that Libertarians fear it will be interpreted.

This is a serious issue, reaching into other states and involving whole homeland security apparatus that we have allowed to be set overtop of this nation since September 2001.

This is a stunning piece with details all need to know. This should get your blood boiling. This Mo. crap was the first shot fired in the coming civil war.

This piece tells it like it is and buddy, these goons are out to take down all who are fighting against their NWO plans. That's YOU and ME and they didn't stutter!

I don't know about terrorists but Missouri does have a lot of things...

two major metropolis cities
two other large cities over 250,000
two major military bases
a very large underground storage facility for stealth bombers.
several CIA/FBI/GOVT Headquarters.
over 10,000 Corporate office headquarters for major companies
one of the most famous medical prisons in the country is here (in springfield)
the Islamic American/Africa Relief Agency is here http://www.militantislammonitor.org/article/id/303

theres a lot of other stuff like this too, i just can't think of any right now

oh... and cashew chicken was invented here :)

and the waffle cone was invented at the St. Louis world fair! :D

And really, MO is no more fascist/socialist than the rest of the country. I can almost guarantee there's federal money behind this whole thing.

We have some great people here working toward liberty and have plenty of representation sympathetic to our cause in the State House.

Unfortunately, you can't say 'Cashew Chicken' and expect the rest of the world to understand. Officially, it's "Springfield, Missouri, Cashew Chicken" and, let me tell you, it's one of the biggest things I miss most about Springfield. I was dismayed to learn that Bamboo Inn closed down. The dude that owned Bamboo Inn was the brother of the Gee's East Wind guy, and they are credited with the recipe. You just can't get it anywhere else.

Sorry, Cashew Chicken is a sore spot in my mind. :)

You forgot to mention the beautiful trees and rivers.

What is the prison in Springfield? I thought Fort Leavenworth was the closest Federal camp. Then again, there was that mental institution in, where was it, somewhere in the western state...

Why would terrorists attack Oklahoma?

I remember back when we thought it would and could never, ever happen. Next thing we knew, we were repeatedly dialing the phone to the city trying to get an open line so we could check on relatives, and spending the day in the Red Cross blood donation line.

If you attack someone who is expecting it, do you really think you'll terrify them?

From the article: "A vehicle may have multiple weapons and hundreds or thousands of rounds of ammunition."

I thought it said hundreds of thousands of rounds of ammunition.
