Phone calls.

Try to make the advertisment a "campaign." That is plan 3-5 things to go along with the ad.

Radio Call In
Billboard
Rally
Etc.

Hold your bullets till you see the white of their eyes. Make it bigger than just a commercial. Then you will convince me to give $100, not $10.

I'd like to re-iterate this point. Just think of how many times you hear about something and promptly ignore it as background noise. Then you hear it again a few hours later and start wondering what it is. Then the next day you hear about it again and this time you look it up.
