That really sucks, Landon. I hope your credit card company is able to ensure that you don't have to pay for the fraud on your account.

I was robbed at gunpoint when I was 16 working at a pizza restaurant. The guy's gun was pointed at me and within reach. It took everything in my enraged, testosterone-filled teenage body not to reach across the counter and try to wrestle the gun from him. Instead, I foolishly and spitefully threw some 10's and 20's on the ground instead of in the bag so he wouldn't get all of my manager's money. Good thing he didn't catch me doing it. They never caught the guy, and thankfully no one was hurt.

I worked in a restaurant that was robbed by 4 guys with shotguns and pistols. They got us all on the floor and everything. It was pretty awesome.

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it isn't bomb making books and stuff like that so the FBI can paint you as a radical in court.

You are going to the wrong tax people. You need to get another one to get the money the government robbed from you!

I'm sorry. :( Getting robbed is a horrible feeling. My old apartment was broken into and robbed. I didn't really have much to steal, they just took my digital camera, all of my shoes (strange, I know), and some small other things. I left my debit card somewhere and whoever found it used it to make an account on blackpeoplemeet.com, lol.

If the first thing they asked you was to confirm your CC info, you first, then you *did* just get robbed!

I've had a number of those calls before; I always ask for a call back # which I can then do a search for.

The criminals are far too ingenious. Heck, they could work for the FED if they put their mind to it.

Wait what?!?! How do I know if it was a legit call or not?! It was a computerized system. I didn't talk to anyone, just pushed in numbers. I'm going to my bank right now and getting this taken care of.

I had my card # stolen last year. The guy bought plane tickets, itunes music and subscribed to some kinda porn site from the sound of the name. Luckiy he was over seas and it was all in Euros so visa was able to pick them out pretty easy and they took it right off my account and got me a new card.

If you haven't already you should get the number for equifax or one of the other 3 credit report people and put a fraud alert on your SSN. It stops people from opening credit accounts without them speaking directly to you first. Plus it cuts all of the junk mail from credit card companys because they cannot access your credit report for 3 or 4 months after you do this.

I wish i had more info on what # you were supposed to call but i honestly forget, it was so long ago. I would actually like to reopen my fraud alert because it makes it alot harder on people tryin to steal your stuff.

Nice little guide on how to get fraud alerts and what they do. It honestly takes 5 minutes to do you just talk to a computer and put in your ssn. I would get the card thing strightened out first though.

I am sure they are spending it all right now. Act quickly, call your card provider and put a stop to it immediately.
