Paul rocked the streets of San Francisco Thursday afternoon. Taking it to the streets Texas congressman and presidential hopeful Ron Paul marched the streets of San Francisco to chant’s of ‘Ron Paul’, ‘Freedom’ and ‘Say Yes to Dr. No’ a reference to his never voting for legislation not authorized by the U.S. constitution.
Paul told reporters ‘We’ll be protected by obeying the constitution it is unconstitutional to have an immoral war’ and promised to ‘reverse the police state’ and ‘restore the constitutional republic’. Paul said we need to say ‘no to a national ID cards’ and that ‘we don’t want searches without signatures’.
Paul’s spontaneous interview on the streets of San Francisco was frequently interrupted with euphoric cheers from supporters. The scene looked more like a candidate walking the streets of an early primary state like New Hampshire not California.
Supporters, noticeably much younger than the candidate, waived signs and cheered as the parade marched along. A box trucked rode by with an image of Paul touting the ‘Ron Paul Revolution.’
To create that kind of rally like atmosphere in the middle of the day in the streets of San Francisco is promising for the candidate and evidence of his rising star power and celebrity.
