So you have a big day tomorrow where you need to be at your best. What will you have/do at bedtime for the most relaxing sleep the night before?

Name your best sleep inducer based on your sleeping experience.
Nightcap here is used in very loose sense of the term.

5 mile run a few hours before bed, and if that does not work some xanax.

Meditation.

Another trick is trying not to fall asleep while laying in bed. Stealth reverse psychology on yourself. :D

Valerian root is also helpful if you're looking for a supplement but not if you're pregnant or breastfeeding.

If all else fails, try to read a math book.

Vigorous workout a couple of hours before bed, and a glass of water just before bed (it's nature's alarm clock too!).

There is a juice recipe that is awesome for this.

All the ingredients in this tonic provide calcium, and spinach, carrot, and celery contain ample amounts of magnesium. A deficiency of these two minerals can cause you to wake up after a few hours of sleep and be unable to drift off again. This drink also contains some of the B vitamins, which help promote a restful state and allow you to fall asleep. Celery and lettuce juices have traditionally been used for remedies for insomnia.

Bunch up 1 romaine lettuce leaf, 1/2 cup fresh spinach, and juice with 4 to 5 carrots, scrubbed with green tops removed, 2 stalks of celery, and 1/4 of a lemon, peeled if not organic. Stir to combine the juice, pour it into a glass and serve only at room temp if drinking to fall asleep.

Visine, drink some and you'll see why.*
*I'm not responsible if you actually drink some.
