So please STOP CALLING Representative Cole for now.

CONTINUE to call your Reps!

So We need everyone calling and putting the pressure on, JUST BE RESPECTFUL. You will catch more flies with honey.

ANYONE WANT TO GO TO RALEIGH?
We have someone there who can help a group of 3-5 get to know the lay of the land and get you organized to speak with the members of our Legislature.

You need to Let me Know ASAP, please provide me with your contact information so we can get this going. This part will take some sacrifice of your time, so be prepared to spend some time in the Legislature building. You can buy a inexpensive lunch whole there in the basement of the building. Please dress professionally so you are taken seriously.

WE WANT RESULTS NOT TALKS, so be firm, but use your manners.

I am working with several Legislators right now to get us a sponsor, so please make those calls and Spread the Word.

... why are we contacting Cole instead of our representatives?.

Good question. I was wondering that since I didn't know for sure, but from the e-mail I gathered that:

1) He is the Chairman of the Transportation Committee
2) These bills are being discussed/voted on in that commitee tomorrow

I'm pretty sure the second point is correct, but I looked it up and it turns out that he is the VICE Chair of that committee.

See here: http://www.ncga.state.nc.us/gascripts/Committees/Committees.asp?sAction=ViewCommittee&sActionDetails=House%20Standing_45

So I would advise you to contact your own state representative if they are on that committee as well (see link), and possibly other members of the commitee too, especially if they are Chairmen or Vice Chairmen. It's possible that the people who originally sent out that e-mail just happened to be in Cole's district and didn't expect the message to get such wide circulation.

I think Cole is being highlighted here because he is a high ranking and sympathetic member of the committee that will be handling this matter.

Cole co-sponsored the Oppose the REAL ID Act bill in 2007, so the idea is to get him to continue his proactive stance and extending his opposition to RFID/Enhanced Driver Licenses.

Please call.

Makes sense, thanks for the info. I edited the OP to tell people to read what you wrote here.

PS CONFERENCE CALL TONIGHT. THIS IS A NATIONAL CALL

Agenda, Mar. 10, 2009

7:30-8:00 Introductions, State Reports

8:00 Focus on PA & S C. Tomorrow patriots are planning another excursion to Columbia SC , working on a combination of legislative initiatives. Also, next week in Harrisburg are TWO events (Rally & Press Conference) pertaining to sovereignty & privacy legislation being introduced in both Senate & House. We need ACTIVE folks attending to these events in two critical states, and will be discussing strategies to help achieve some victories.

We do have a NEW minor item of legislation, aimed at local (county-level) political party organizations, to pressure the state legislature to adopt a PAPER BALLOT ONLY system. Also, STATE level new items include a “Family Farm” resolution, along with a STATE BILL to nullify NAIS. More legislation is being drafted nearly every week. Find these items (as they become available) by checking the “Documents” page of www.nvcca.net (http://www.nvcca.net/) You can also find NEW videos posted as available on the “Media” page. ORDER DVD’s for your state legislators, and DOWNLOAD AUDIO (mp3) files for audio CD’s for state legislators at http://aaron.feettothefire.us/ A NEW vid will soon be up dealing with “federalism” generally. It is a training tool for state legislators on US Senate Accountability, and the dangers of a Constitutional Convention. (This video is produced and finished, just awaiting shipping and upload for use.) Also, a NEW bill is coming to DISCONNECT SSN’s from ALL forms of state licensing. (Working on that one now, hopefully to be part of the “privacy package” in PA and other states.) Theological videos (including NEW ones on the SSN- Mark of the Beast connection) are up at www.vimeo.com/discipleaaron (http://www.vimeo.com/discipleaaron) Enjoy & use!

This is the call to keep up on all the events & materials we are making available for you to use, and what is going on in our states and activist centers. Educating state legislators is our mission. Good leadership in our states is the key to making it happen. This call is for YOU!

All state coordinators for RTR & the NVCCA should be here, and please contact your e-mail lists so they can participate and get motivated!

The National Legislative Conference Call is open to all, and helps train those in the movement for positive political action at the state and local levels on a number of issues (money, Real ID, 911 Truth, and many more). RTR and NV CCA coordinators work directly in the state capitols of America with elected officials, to draft and support pro-constitution legislative change. (Training videos are available in the “media” page at www.nvcca.net (http://www.nvcca.net/) ) We do bill drafting, document preparation & distribution, and teach the Constitution to those who have sworn to uphold it.

Invite coalition partners, post info about it around the boards, etc.
