Yes, it is a closed state and you have to be registered R to vote for RP. And, that is a good argument.

Does anyone here know the rules for voting in primaries NY? Is it a closed state? If so, I thought I heard the deadline for changing your registration is sometime in October? Is this true? If so, we should all be hitting NY as hard as possible.

I have the perfect website for you in my signature.

New York is a closed primary state, the primary is held on Feb 5 (Super Duper Tuesday) and you need to register to vote/change parties by Jan 11.

While Giuliani poses problems for us in New York, one advantage we have is that Hillary will sew up her nomination so easily that there should be lots of potential crossover democrats who see the advantage of voting for Paul instead.
