Anyone got a list of boards? Maybe we should all target one board and the same time and take it over.

Please don't target hannity.com .... I'm wearing those guys down slowly but surely ;)

If you do go there, please be polite and don't start a bunch of new threads, just post politely in existing ones!

Also rather then try and take over boards you really don't care about why don't you seek out new ones you wouldn't mind joining for good and just post every once in a while about Ron Paul and put something in your signature line saying you support him?

I dont think that would be very productive. We'd have to be sneaky so as not to be labeled as trolls and banned. Maybe try to generate discussion about this vid?

This sounds like a good idea, but I'm not quite certain it would help more than it would harm.

Another poster described holding up an RP sign to a group of Hillary supporters who seemed receptive and friendly. I'm afraid that if we burn bridges and go negative, a lot of the goodwill we've built up among other candidates' followers may suffer. Heck, even Rawstory is rooting for us! Do we really want to risk losing the "positive" message of this campaign?

Those other guys go negative because it's all they've got. We're better than that, and more and more people are realizing it!

ronpaulhawaii
09-15-2007, 05:28 PM
How about a list of sites (to find a bridge to crawl out from under)? (and no I don't have the time). If everyone could find a different forum to cover, we could do some good work on a large scale.

Lately I've been stumping in Bike forums, but could probably keep an eye on one opposition forum as well

Here's a quote from a heavy poster at Liberty Forums:

"Today I saw a bunch of Ron Paul supporters.

They asked if I like Ron Paul.

I called them retards and the beat the crap out of them."

This is the opposition. I think his statements accurately sums up Fox News policy on Ron Paul.

Such a bunch of losers. Pathetic.

if you want to get in heavy w/ the lib side i recomend a quick browse
of both

rawstory (http://www.rawstory.com) where you don't have to register.

and alternet (http://www.alternet.org) where you do have to register

huffington post (http://www.huffingtonpost.com) and dailykos (http://www.dailykos.com)
are both overblown and a waste of time. So is Think Progress (http://www.thinkprogress.org).

Scholars and Rogues (http://scholarsandrogues.wordpress.com/) are not Rogues, but probably scholars.

ya sorry about that... right after the debate a bunch of RP supporters went there and they got trigger happy and banned some legit people too that started posting new threads, etc.... that's why it's important for new people going there supporting RP to try and keep a low profile to limit future collateral damage :)

With the advent of the trolls and the mean spiritedness of them, it is very obvious their agenda is too disrupt and discredit.

Though they have NO valid arguments their only goal is association of negativity with name.

I say, lets return the favor tenfold. There are a ton of messageboards out there for the various high-level globalist, special interest funded candidates. Lets have at it. But lets do this the right way. Lets post facts. Such as Hillary's association with corrupt fundraising and backdealings with defense contractors, or Ghouianis association with the law firm that is representing the NAFTA superhighway builder..

Lets be honest and give people food for thought.

Thanks all you trolls for giving us a great idea.... return the favor 10-fold.

I disagree!!!

What would Ron Paul do/want us to do? We have plenty to do without wasting our time on those kinds of things.

I was just at a site within the last day....and and there were those there for and against another candidate. And neither were being very nice. There was name calling on both sides. And I thought, that's the difference between Ron Paul supporters and supporters of other candidates.

I'm not saying there's not a time and place for conveying info about other candidates. But let's not go be trolls on other forums, because we've had trolls here.

Just ignore our trolls (and of course, ban them).

They aren't having nearly as much fun as we are, anyway.

Terrible idea. We need a new forum policy that says we should mind our own business, defend this forum, and defend our liberties! There's nothing wrong with spreading our values around the internet, but it is wrong to spread it by force. We should spread it by setting a good example and doing a good job here. Threatening the Hannity forum and threatening Hillary forums makes no sense whatsoever. We should defend this forum, spread the message in a good way, but not to think that we can change the world by forcive arms and to start wars!

johnrocks

We are experiencing some "blowback" caused by the people that originally went to forums like Hannity and now we are seeing some of that residual. It feels better to be the giver than the giveie but we only hurt our cause by spamming other sites.

Don't let anything bring you down.

I expected the neo-cons and demo-socialists, to step up their attacks. But you are right about one thing. THE STATUS QUO ARE WORRIED. :)

People interested in the status quo don't yet see how bankrupt their positions are. If they go and read up a little bit on economics, history and civil rights, they will see Dr Paul is the only guy out there that is making sense.

The bad press and internet trolls are just a symptom of this movement expanding. What we want is contrary to what they are pushing. Did you expect the imperial "we must run the world" neo-cons or the socialist "we must the save the world" types to take this lying down?

So what if we take some punches, in the long run we outlast because we are much more committed and growing in strength.

We shouldn't trip on this. Just pick up the pace, keep telling the truth and everything will fall into place.

In all fairness, even if we went ahead with this type of activity, we would not be trolls. Trolls play silly games centered around disruption. Since we do have an interest in all candidates for this election we would be valid posters. We would only have to be careful to remain the polite, fun-loving bunch that we are and not get into the nastiness many posters thrive on.

This is true. A troll is just disruptive and hateful, does nothing but make stupid personal attacks.

Going onto forums and being polite, respectful and telling the truth does not make you a troll. This kind of work is ok, but even better is going out and meeting people face to face. I'm going to go to gun shows, sporting events, etc over the next few months to get the word out.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I assumed it referred to etymology:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord
"The etymology of the English word lord goes back to Old English hlaf-weard (loaf-guardian) – reflecting the Germanic tribal custom of a superior providing food for his followers. The female equivalent, Lady, may come from words meaning "loaf-kneader"."
