Only because we have been conditioned to accept the atheists are democrats and christians/religious are republicans. It is all so ridiculous that we are conditioned to this extent regarding the two party system...

I recall fox radio programs slamming this issue somewhere in the time frame of this article (I don't watch fox news anymore but they have the corner market on the local talk radio stations:(). People just don't care about the blurring of ethical involvement on this issue and it is rather frustrating...
