I owe a particular bank a sum of money. This bank has received a huge amount of bailout money. I have decided that since I will be making payments on this debt to the bank through my taxes, with the federal government as the middleman, it is no longer necessary for me to send payments directly to the bank.
The bank will invariably attempt to continue to collect payment from me directly. I would like to get some ideas for a legal basis for what I am doing. Oh, I know I probably won't win. But that's not the point. Die on your feet or live on your knees.
At this point I am thinking that I could make the argument that if I continue to pay the bank, they will be unjustly enriched. Any other ideas?
