Sounds a lot like the quality of many of the critiques and refutations right here on the LF/RPF to me. :D

Dave showing his true lack of intelligence, again!:mad:Well he also said "Ron was right".

And the thing about it is that Dave is one of the more intelligent radio show hosts out there. I just think his opinion is shallow in this regard.

Yeah, no inspiration when people gave him $20 million.

Indeed. This is hardly anything to be upset about. And while I disagree with calling Ron "creepy", it is true that Ron doesn't much in the way of charisma. Ron inspires us, but he doesn't inspire the average guy like, say, Pat Buchanan could.

+1

Not to mention:

The man completely changed my life! If that isn't inspirational I don't know what is, maybe Dave should have me on his show to clarify the word!!!:p

So he want Ken or Barbie for POTUS? Dave wants Hollywood instead of real.

hmm.. I think it's the message that is inspiring, and the fact that ron has not wavered in defense of the constitution. If he was promoting bailouts and war, he sure as hell wouldn't inspire anyone.

Matt Collins

So he want Ken or Barbie for POTUS? Dave wants Hollywood instead of real.Yeah and that's what's so sad about it. Dave is one of the few out there who truly "gets" fiscal conservatism. He has even called himself a libertarian: http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=182067&highlight=dave+ramsey

But it just amazes me that he is sooo shallow that he cannot like someone he agrees with 99% because of their physical appearance or their attitude. It's not a good example...

I lost all respect for him.No his advice is good enough (not perfect), his fiscal conservatism is awesome, and his tirades against socialism are perfect. But I don't understand why someone so intelligent and successful is so shallow about Ron; especially with regards to an issue so critical.

Subject: Your comments on Dr. Paul

Dave,

I don't understand why you attack the only man in D.C. telling the American people the truth. He creeps you out? Are you serious?

Add me to the list of listeners you lost today.

Gosh, could it be that Dave Ramsey likes the fiat money game??? I've heard him defend the Federal Reserve and call the people who rail against it "conspiracy theorists". Might he also be a Zionist, like many fundies, who puts Israel first?

I think so.

ETA: Dave Ramsey cares fuck all about the constitution.

I just saw this guy speak a few days ago (I wasn't forewarned). He really is quite the douche. I listened to a bunch of his financial advice, and it wasn't so much advice as it was just garbage.

Dave pushes investments into mutual funds and advises any caller talking about gold that it is a poor investment over time.

He must be speaking to California. You know, the land where Reagan and Swartzi became governor. Oh, he can't afford an Armani so I don't think he's presidential enough. What happened on Idol last night?

Not too hard to see how we got in the hole we're in.

I use to be big in mutual funds- now I wouldn't touch one. Why would I want to put the power of my money into someone elses hands?

gold that it is a poor investment over time.Gold first off isn't an investment, and secondly to put money into gold over time is not a way to grow your money.

Not to bust on you, but.....
In my eyes you have been proven wrong on this numerous times. I know for a fact GOLD is an investment.;)

When you consider I bought 10 Krugs from Blanchard for under 800 each on Nov. 11, and then turned around and sold them for over 900 bucks each earlier this month, yielding a profit of over 100 dollars a coin... how can that not be an investment that panned out?

Your vision of an investment seems rather limited.

Reading The Revolution completely changed my whole perspective. I used to be a far left Obamaton. If that's not inspirational nothing is.

I'm going to particularly enjoy the time when Dave has to explain to his listeners why everything is to fucking expensive.

All those "fans" of his screaming wondering why he didn't support Paul's hyper inflation predictions.

Your vision of an investment seems rather limited.Gold is not an investment. An investment is in something that produces (such as a company). Gold is speculating which is essentially gambling. You aren't investing in gold unless you own a gold mine or own stocks or bonds of a company that mines/sells/trades gold. If you purchase gold that's not an investment, it's a speculation. Please learn the difference :)

I guess we can agree to disagree.

But, let me get this straight. By your definition speculating in a company that "produces" (which is speculative) is an investment, in your eyes? ;) But, speculating in GOLD to sell at a higher price is just speculation and not investing?

By your definition speculating in a company that "produces" (which is speculative) is an investment, in your eyes? ;) But, speculating in GOLD to sell at a higher price is just speculation and not investing? The following is the accepted academic / scholastic definition of speculating vs investing:

Investing -- putting your money into an asset that generates a return
Examples -- stocks, bonds, mutual funds, or real estate

Speculating -- putting your money into an asset that the future value, or return, relies on supply and demand
Examples -- collectors items, gold, baseball cards, or derivative securities
