And Rand Paul, a Bowling Green anti-tax activist and the son of former presidential candidate and current U.S. Rep. Ron Paul of Texas, told The Associated Press he is looking at entering the race if Bunning chooses not to run.

Paul is an interesting wild card because he could potentially tap his father's network for some fairly serious money.

I've got a feeling it would be the best money "we've" spent, assuming "we" all get on board. Kentucky is a conservative state, in need of a fresh face in D.C. If this happens I know I'll "annie up"!" To win this thing, Dr. Paul will need many donations, and major grassroots support.

I'll definitely be traveling down to KY in 2010 if he runs to do some heavy campaigning.

We could even use Ron Paul material because I'm sure he's on the exact same page as we all are.
