It is 10:04 PM EST and the DOW is currently trading at |6973.0 -79.00|

This might be a painful day for the markets, breaking the 7000 psychological barrier.

Asia getting hammered right now:

3200 or so is limit down.

That would be better than waking up to see New York going up in flames.

The dow will close on Monday at 6950.93, +/-25 points.

You saw it here first.

... there's NOTHING good about seeing flames... well.. unless they're coming off a marshmallow and I have some graham crackers and chocolate to smoosh it with.

If we see 3200 anytime soon then riots will be taking place and the crazies will be out setting cars on fire, etc. I'd rather not see that. Because the next thing after that is Obama using all that unconstitutional power that Bush put in place. That would be the start of a very long and nasty period of history. If you care about anyone under the age of 18 then you don't want to see that happen.

Futures currently down 109

So, let's do a little math, as of today the 52 week high was 13,191.49

Ending today 2 March was 6,763.06.

Half of the 52 week high is 6428.43

So, we are 334.63 points away from losing one half of the DOW worth.

Yes, from the all time high, you are right.

I'm going to keep running the number based on the 52 week high at the day's close.

See if it chases down the death spiral.
