No surprise here expect to the millions that didn't pay attention to a word he said when he was campaigning.

I wish we would just sell that big fancy embassy to the Iraqi government and get the hell out all togeather. How bad does the violence have to be on our border with the Mexican drug cartels before the government realizes that our troops can better protect us there?

This has been a huge discussion point I have been using the last few days with my democrat friends. You can't say it's a withdrawal when you leave an occupation army behind(use liberation army when talking to republican friends). It's become easy to talk about what Ron Paul would have done these days, which is the only silver lining I can see.

Obama's Speech today:

"We are pulling out of Iraq. the Job is done. We are coming home!*"

*Other then dozens of bases, federal workers, security, and troops on special details.

This morning NEWS headlines... "JOhn McMoron McCain" Approves of Obama's troop withdrawal.

Talk about a planned MSM media Propaganda synchronized WAR release.

John McTeenSouthCarolina will enjoy 35,000-50,000 troops in Iraq for 100 years. Wasn't that his plan he announced in New Hampshire primaries? Yeap!

CHANGE = No Difference Whatsoever

The military-industrial complex is very pleased with Barky, I'm sure. Massive military bases to maintain in Iraq, already saber rattling in Afghanistan and Pakistan, and trillion+ deficit spending!

Hey I'm angry too...guess there's not much else I can say other than I'm angry, but I'm not surprised - I bet there are many surprised people though.

Joe Public isn't angry because the headlines read:
"Obama withdrawing troops from Iraq"
"Obama eliminates earmarks"
"Obama will cut deficit in half"

Etc.
None of it is true, but that is the information Joe Public is receiving.

I found this here (http://www.iht.com/articles/2008/05/16/america/16mccain.php)and used it:

This was John McCain's vision last May: "By January 2013, America has welcomed home most of the servicemen and women who have sacrificed terribly so that America might be secure in her freedom," McCain said at the Columbus Convention Center. "The Iraq war has been won. Iraq is a functioning democracy, although still suffering from the lingering effects of decades of tyranny and centuries of sectarian tension. Violence still occurs, but it is spasmodic and much reduced."

The United States, McCain added, "maintains a military presence there, but a much smaller one, and it does not play a direct combat role."

Things that make you go hmmm...

Same as Obama. That's just code for "massive contracts to military-industrial complex for maintaining massive and numerous military bases in Iraq, including the troops to operate them."
