If National Motors is cut loose to fend for itself, I give it two years (at most) before the doors close for good.

If National Motors is cut loose to fend for itself, I give it two years (at most) before the doors close for good.

I watched CBC (I am from Canada) the other day, that is EXACTLY what an auto worker said leaving from the Oshawa GM plant when the media bobblehead asked him what he thought of the bailout. EXACTLY what you said. The only thing that surprised me is that the media reported it.

Here's the thing that kills me. Genital Motors doesn't seem to get the fact that I - and many others - rejected their products on the market because they are building products no one wants. Yet, not only did I pay for the car I DID WANT, now I have to pay for a car I DIDN'T WANT.

Toyota reported their biggest quarterly drop in 51 years. What are they doing? Weathering the storm, like most legitimate businesses do. So is Honda.

Now they have to compete with the Dead 3 who are now enjoying a coerced revenue stream (extortion taken from the citizenry euphemistically called taxes ) they don't have.

Given a free market (which we don't have), prices trend downward, and quality trends upward due to competitive forces. Now that government is intervening in this industry, look for the trends to reverse.

I am sure you have all seen this:
