Rally at the State House Wednesday March 4, 8:00 a.m. -- Support States' Rights (http://www.pgnh.org/rally_at_the_state_house_wednesday_march_4_8_00_a_ m_support_states_rights)

NH State Rep. Dan Itse has submitted HCR 6, a resolution to assert states' rights and, in particular, to maintain the right of the people to keep and bear arms in the face of federal infringement. Seven other states have introduced similar resolutions, and analysts predict that 20 other states will follow this year. (The Oklahoma House of Representatives passed their version overwhelmingly, 93 to 2; see http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=67229 .) The full text of New Hampshire's HCR 6 is available at http://www.gencourt.state.nh.us/legislation/2009/HCR0006.html . Note that co-sponsors Rep. Ingbretson and Sen. Denley are Pro-Gun New Hampshire Advisors. Although the State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs Committee voted it Inexpedient to Legislate on a party-line vote -- with nobody testifying against it -- the full House of Representatives can overturn the committee vote. The House vote is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4, and there will be a rally at the State House at 8:00 a.m. Bring signs to show the arriving state representatives that you support this measure. Also, PGNH Advisor Rep. Bob Mead posted the following message on 2/15/09:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can use your help in legislation I have testified in favor of, known as House Concurrent Resolution (HCR 6) affirming our States' rights. The intent is to send a clear message to Washington, that as a signer of the Constitution of the United States, the Sovereign State of New Hampshire has granted only specific limited rights over our governance to the Federal Government, and has retained all other as States' Rights for New Hampshire citizens.

A great many citizens took time off from their work and came to the public hearing in Concord last week in order to testify in favor of this legislation. As a matter of record there was no opposing testimony to this resolution. Despite overwhelming support and testimony of our citizens, and all Republican committee members voting in favor of the resolution, the Democratic majority on the committee sought to silent our voices by voting it inexpedient to legislate.

We have one more opportunity to pass it when it comes before the full legislature in the next few weeks, and with your support we might be able to do so. Dan Itse, the sponsor of the bill, was on Fox News with Glenn Beck at 5:00 PM on February 13th discussing this legislation. If you are interested in supporting me in this effort to assert our States Rights, forward this to everyone you know and have them contact the Speaker of the House, Terie Norelli, terie.norelli@leg.state.nh.us or (603) 271-3661 and the Democratic Governor John Lynch governorlynch@nh.gov .asking them her to support HCR6 when it comes to the full legislature for a vote .

If you would like to see a constituent video of the testimony on the bill, go to: http://bikerbillnh.blogspot.com/ It is the third video down, (I am the third one testifying). Here is also an e-mail site with information about support that I got this morning from http://patriotsforamerica.ning.com/profiles/blogs/critical-states.

Thank you in keeping our New Hampshire "Live Free Or Die" motto alive!

Regards

Bob Mead

And let's be clear, HCR 6 is not a "secession" bill.

It is a resolution of the combined representatives and people of the state of New Hampshire declaring that if the fedgov (The General Government in the bill) does "x", "x" or "x", it is in violation of the 10th amendment and has violated the compact with which the state entered into the union with.

I'm so happy to see outside this board that there are people that still care about liberty and freedom. :D

Itse: "This is about enforcing the Constitution which states to the Federal Government: You're not the boss of us, we're the boss of you."

Beautiful!

Why does it have to be about State's "rights"? The word should be "powers" or "legal authority".

Persons have rights, States have power.

States' Sovereignty would've probably been one of the better terms to use.
