I went to a junk shop over the weekend and bought two awesome cookbooks from the early 1900's. I've been playing w/the recipes and they are both so cool. You can make so much from the most basic ingredients!

This one from 1932, Rumford Complete Cook Book- here it is on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/Rumford-Complete-Cook-Book-1932_W0QQitemZ190287823117QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAntiq uarian_Collectible?hash=item190287823117&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A13 18|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50).

And this one from 1920, Good Food: How To Prepare It by George Cornforth. Oh, found a download (http://www.archive.org/details/goodfoodhowtopr00corngoog) of this one online!!! I made the orange pudding on page 158 the other day- super yummy and very easy. I think it would be better w/strawberries, though.

Hmmm....that download site looks like it could be VERY useful. :D

Doh. I wrote cooksbook. Haha, if a mod sees this can you fix that?

just future reference.... whenever you notice that you've bungled a title, if you go to the forum it's posted in, double-click on the line w/ your thread title...

if no one else has posted to the thread, it will allow you to edit the title yourself (prolly dependent upon your web browser as well).
