Hell yeah, they make those kids slave away with that homework I think everyone knows from experience, second I set foot into college, college work was like a joke compared to homework, Go to college for half the time, and having plenty of time to do the college work, which isn't much.

The whole notion of forced compulsory attendance in public school is slavery.

Could someone confirm or refute this? I'm always hearing conflicting reports regarding college workload.

Oh -- tube, please.

I know it's junior college, but I have so much less of a workload being dual enrolled at both my HS and JC. I am going to get my AA and almost twice the HS credits I would get just going to HS with about half the work, all at the expense of the taxpayer. As long as the plunder goes on, don't think I am not going to participate.

I saw him on a different news report a few days ago (I think CBS) and he was using the Constitution as part of his argument. Welcome aboard, kiddo

That'll depend on the courses you take - if you have to take courses for math and science majors you're gonna have homework that needs to be done. But liberal arts and social sciences? Forget it. First off keep in mind you'll only be going to class about 3 hours/day if you go to school full time (120 credit hours to graduate, 15 credit hours per semester made up of 5 3-credit_hour classes, 3 hours (time) per class per week). For liberal arts and social sciences, homework to be turned in is extremely rare (English is the exception). Typically they'll assign you "homework" to read the text, which nobody ever does. 2 or 3 times per semester you'll be have exams - most people cram from their notes the night before and do no homework in between exams. Bad note taker? Missed too many classes? No problem - there are "student notes" for sale at 3rd party bookstores (they hire A students to take the notes and repackage them as a product). For some classes you may have to write 2 to 3 term papers per semester (usually 5 pages). Those can be a pain, but I'd say a great many of these are plagiarized to a good extent, if not completely outright (essays can be bought off the internet, or maybe you can even pay someone to write it for you).
If you want to get A's and B's honestly in liberal arts or social sciences major, it'll sometimes be stressful but generally no-sweat. If you shoot for B's and C's honestly, you'll breeze right on through. C's and D's w/o cheating? Near comatose level participation. Mixed grades with a mix of honest and dishonest efforts? All you'd have to do is show up 1/3 to 1/2 of the time and collect your rubber stamp degree after 4 years

Unless you take like winter classes, you don't have the classes every single day like in school. In school, from my experience, 5 days a week, homework in every subject every single day.

Fox has some of the stupidest shit on the planet.

Why, because it's form of rascist/socialist collectivism is not the same as yours? You and the neo-cons at Fox have the same basic statist principles. They just have a different vision of what the perfect state run society would look like than you do.
Why are you even on this thread? Isn't there some other thread where you could be using blanket statements and ad hominem attacks about how every individual on this site are all "jew haters" and "rascists". Even though you are the one that identifies with your collective "race" and perpetuates the ideas that feed racial collectivism in this country. Isn't that right "BLACKterrel"? Hypocrite.
Honestly. Why are you spending so much time on this site? Are you on some sort of personal mission to show the wide range of indiviuals here how "wrong" we all are, do you just like debate or are you getting paid to play the leftist collectivist to try and sow division amongst the people on this board? Whatever it is, it is not working and only exposes your intellectual unoriginality and blind adherance to failed 20th century statist/collectivist principles that were better off left in the dustbin of barbaric stupidity. For the most part the people on here are smarter than you, better informed than you and unlike you they don't subscribe to collectivism or group think.

Homework is for your own benefit. It is practice.
You shouldn't be forced to do it, nor should you get a grade for it.
If you don't do the work, you will most likely fail (unless you already know the material)

Oh -- tube, please.

It would definitely depend on how difficult the classes are. Obviously a BS in Electrical Engineering is going have a workload far beyond that of a Geography degree and the like.

But is a child capable of determining what he should and should not be doing to prepare for his future?

I imagine grades initially started as a way to measure a child's effort and participation in class, and was mostly a tool for parents before the State became involved.

(Thanks for replies answering my earlier question)

No. I made a comment because you never have anything positive to contribute to any discussion on any thread on this board. You are a collectivist, rascist troll.
I hate Fox News but what pisses me off even more is people like yourself thinking that you are all that different than the idiots at FOX. You are all STATISTS who believe that you have the right to enforce your ideologies through government force or VIOLENCE. Same SHIT, different ASSHOLE.
