Oy, it was torture watching the clip.

Bill Maher talks with Chrystia Freeland of the Financial Times, Tina Brown of the Daily Beast, and Rep. Maxine Waters, defender of Fannie Mae.

Bill almost had it right. He talked about China calling in the debt, but then he points at the rich and says we need to get the money from them to fix the economy.

Bah.

Peter Schiff, please run for Senate.

Yes, I found this to be one of the worst episodes of Real Time after the interview of RP. It is getting harder and harder to stomach that show.

Like someone else mentioned, it is like watching "The View."

Its fitting that the clip starts with Waters saying "It should have been a trillion!"

Real easy to spend someone else's money isn't it Maxine?

I'm sure she would've seen a problem with Fannie Mae had it been her company.

Why get money from the rich when simply printing more seems to be the current prescription? Let's give all Americans $100,000 each and see how well that works.

Bill Maher has his head up his a$$.

Congress hands over hundreds of billions of dollars to a bunch of financial executives, so "logically," Bill Maher blames the bankers and suggests we hang two random ones.

Maher, Stewart, Colbert etc. are like the FOX News of the left. Distort, misrepresent, invite on for opposition only those who are on the other side of the fake, constructed left-right paradigm, and can't even defend that position effectively; and agitate for false solutions to problems our own leaders have engineered.

Ive watched all 3 of the new season and it hasn't gotten much better. Bill pulls a nice one out once in awhile still (end WoD, close down overseas bases, etc) but he's drifting more and more toward socialist.

Maher seems to me like the type of person who COULD be open to the liberty philosophy. He's a smart guy. I'm really not sure what's holding him back.

All the "experts" who agree, keep him in the mainstream mindset.

It is odd though, because he defended Peter Schiff when Art Laffer came on, yet he totally rejects Schiff's analysis.

Needing a job maybe? Ever since he got kicked off the air for some not-so-PC-comments back around 2002, he's played ball with his corporate masters. I still enjoy parts of his show so I still watch but it's getting harder to stomach all 58 minutes.

Focus on doing something about it, rather than getting pissed off about it ;)

Some people just need help, and you might need to assist them over time, nad refrain from calling them stupid to their faces.
