I just picked up the following book today:
The Backyard Homestead by Carleen Madigan
It has information about how to grow all the food you need on as little as 1/4 acre. In the back is a list of resources for where you can find supplies for things talked about in each chapter (seeds, chickens, etc.).
I looked through it quite a bit before I bought it and it looks pretty good. It's not meant to be a deep-dive into any particular area, but there seems to be enough information to at least get you started.
