the "lets tread very lightly" theme is wearing quite thin

Well, some people can't figure out the "lets use common sense" theme, sadly, so they have to run around telling everybody what they should and shouldn't say.

No, Liberty is still important to some people.

People sick of our growing police state:

Travelers (I know many businessmen who could do without a rude and belligerent TSA threatening them with anal probes, taking away their dangerous water, and searching through -and stealing- items from their luggage).

Programmers and People in the IT community. They know the Patriot Act particularly well, as well as the DMCA.

Self-Employed/Business People - having to follow regulations up the wazoo.

Homeowners - it's amazing you still can mow your property without asking for a permit first.

Etcetera.

AFAI am concerned, Liberty or the right to be left in peace is a better promise to many people these days than the fanciful but empty promises most politicians make these days.

my intention was to (tongue in cheek) make the point that there appears to be a groundswell of don't do this or don't do that. It's a revolution for goodness sake.
