I heard it mentioned on Bill Maher earlier so I checked HBO On Demand Documentaries and there it is. A 45 minute "documentary" done by Nancy Pelosi's daughter, of all people, about the election but specifically focused on the McCain campaign trail. I was very conflicted about it. On one hand, she showed the general lunacy and ignorance of today's GOP voter. "Obama is the Muslim anti-christ" type stuff. I had to agree about how dumb people are considering what I saw during the GOP campaign. But on the other hand, it was an obvious slam of the GOP and had a "lol@you" feel to it. She made sure to pick the most racist people she could find in some interviews to paint all Republicans (I won't say conservatives) in a similar light. I felt really weird watching it. Like I could nod in agreement or laugh at a GOP hack idiot but then 5 seconds later feel disgusted at the young Pelosi. It's a really weird feeling to be in the middle of idiot Democrats and idiot Republicans, while being a true conservative on the outside looking in.

Has anybody else watched it?

I watched about five minutes of it, then my stomach turned, and I had to turn it off.

I had the same reaction as you did, satiric laughter, then anger, then revulsion.

Just one side of the false left/right dynamic laughing at the other side.

About as much worth worth as watching the schizophrenic laughing at the manic depressive across the hall of the insane asylum.

Exactly. It's enough to make you want to pull your hair out. Both sides are full of morons and watching one group of morons make fun of the other group of morons feels like bizarro world. Im glad Im not the only one that felt that way.

Yes, and this is what bother's me - people think these are the two options, either whacko, right wing reactionaries or whacko, left wing socialists. These people feel disenfranchised now just like the left felt disenfranchised during the Dubya era, but the truth is, the only people who have been disenfranchised are people like us who actually believe in liberty. This is part of why Lew Rockwell says he is not a conservative - because is what is considered to be conservative in this country.

I didn't watch the "documentary", but I watched the election.
That about sums it up.

And be sure to not forget that every vote counts just exactly the same, of that whole MINORITY ~1/3 of "We the People".

Hmmm? I wonder if 4% of them are sociopaths.

No mention of Ron Paul? No mention of what happened at the NV GOP convention (or just about all state GOP conventions for that matter)?

When will a documentary be done that shows how bad the GOP screwed up in '08 by ignoring Ron Paul? If the Campaign for Liberty is looking for something to do..... something that would bring in some donations... ahem.

Well you could do this same thing to any movement. The left has plenty of lunatic communists and enviro-whacoks who could filmed talking nonsense. Ron Paul has plenty of loony followers too. This is lazy and unimportant "filmmaking".

Most Republicans are stupid, but so are most Democrats, it has nothing to do with ideology.

My friend saw it and said he was shocked. Well, I was shocked that he was shocked. Idiots are everywhere. He [an Obama supporter] still plays down all of the idiots who have gone on camera praising Obama and not knowing anything about him or his policies.
