I've been reading about health connections with the mouth and the rest of the body and it's been freaking me out a little. I brush everyday and go to the dentist every 6 months, but I'm generally lazy in that department when it comes to flossing, etc. I'm looking to be more pro-active in this area. Are there any good natural dental sites that would have some good tips about ways to keep your mouth healthier?

Don't fall for the crap they tell you about flouride being good for your teeth - it isn't.

Any area of the tooth that is not cleaned is vulnerable to cavity development. That includes between teeth. Imagine the nightmare it is to get a healthy tooth drilled & filed down just to get to the cavity in the tooth next to it. You can read and listen to all the links you like, but floss while you are doing it. Please!

I used to use a Sonicare toothbrush with some fluoride-free toothpaste. It worked well, but my teeth would become sensitive at times, and I think it was from enamel getting worn down. For over a year now, I've been using a Soladey ionic toothbrush (http://ener-chi.com/soladey.htm), and it is awesome! It looks like a typical toothbrush, except it has a titanium dioxide rod in the end of it. You don't need to use toothpaste with it. It gets my teeth cleaner than the Sonicare ever did.

I rinse with hydrogen peroxide every couple of days (just the brown bottle 3% stuff you can buy anywhere).

Every couple of weeks, I rinse with MMS (http://ener-chi.com/mms.htm). I mix 5 drops MMS with 25 drops lime juice, wait 3 minutes, add some water, then swish it around in my mouth for a few minutes.
