I don't get it. Does Peter Schiff need money? I'm pretty sure if he ever decides to run for whatever, he has the money to finance his own campaign. What is the point of donating money if the guy is not going to run anyway. I like Peter Schiff, but if he does not want to run then what is the point?

he might decide to run if there is ground swell of support. if he doesn't run the PAC is committed to using the money to support liberty candidates/issues so nothing will be wasted.

If we are looking to create a "ground swell of support", that would be better done by a petition. It would be much easier to get signatures for a petition than asking for donations. That is my two cents anyways. With the economy the way it is, donations are hard to come by. I for one, won't participate in a money bomb for Schiff, but I would sign a petition.

Funds will also be used to support similar organizations such as the Campaign for Liberty and Young Americans for Liberty, as legally permitted.

I'm in. Got a call last night from a Shiff volunteer. A bright, articlate, passionate, young patriot. We had a very spirited 30 minute interaction. Made it clear this would be a small token contribution to show he has the numbers. When he announces I'll donate more. You know and I know that Dodd has to go down and Peter is the one that can do it.

i have been in touch with the guys behind schiff2010, and they assure me, not one dime of any of this cashola will go to pay a penny to anyone involved with the project in terms of staff and management. they might use consultants for technology improvements, etc. to me, that's good enough for a small donation at this point, to hopefully help prompt Schiff to run. can you imagine an epic showdown between Schiff and Dodd?? it would be like Luke Skywalker vs Darth Vader. Schiff has enough money to buy a victory in the primary. so can you imagine Dodd being forced to debate a firestarter like Schiff in the official debates? hahaha... Schiff will cream him on economic issues, and nail him to the wall on Fannie and Freddie. to me, that alone would be worth the price of admission!
