Officials on the French Caribbean island of Guadeloupe say rioters shot and killed a union representative overnight during escalating demonstrations over high living costs.

Authorities say the union member Jacques Bino was shot in his car by armed youths manning a barricade in Guadeloupe's largest town, Pointe-a-Pitre. He was the first person to die in the unrest.

Why isn't this in the MSM? Riots on Guadeloupe and Martinique!

Because a grand total of one person was killed on a pair of Islands that 98% of Americans has never even heard of, let alone able to locate?

Just my guess...

Actually I just cut and pasted the title of the article into the title of the thread. It is what caught my attention. The real story is the fact that there have been riots on these islands and there isn't much mention in the MSM.

Our lady of Guadeloupe?
unless catholics only make up 2% of our population.. i'd say a lot more people know about it.
