Okay, I'm making a new video and i'm almost done but,

I really want to have a R3VOLUTION Logo with the 3VOL part on fire.

Autodas recently made this post in another thread

I don't know if you're still doing this, but I think I may have found the solution for you and it looks great. It's a filter for After Effects so it should be easy to use.

Here's a preview of what it can do: http://jaswet.com/download/IncenseTest3.wmv

Download the Alpha 2 here: http://jawset.com/forum/

I personally have been playing with after effects for 30 minutes, and i can't figure out how to even use it, although i'm okay with Adobe Premiere.

If someone could make this logo for me, that'd be really, really cool. Besides, i think it could make a great .gif, that'd probably be used by every community that endorses our message

Any one here capable of this?

Maybe you can do it in Photoshop and then copy and past it over to AE. I havent learned how to use AE yet but I know that I can do it in Photoshop and move it from program to program...

Maybe that will help you. :)

Thanks for the advice

I have no idea if that would work or not?

In photoshop, is the Logo going to be dynamic or static? Will the flames move?

It really doesn't matter where it's made, i just want a dynamic burning R3VOLUTION Logo

I am good with AE, what do you need to do exactly?

What I want is a standard R3VOLUTION logo, with the 3VOL Part (and the box around it) burning on fire dynamically, as opposed to just the color red.

Know what i mean?

Perhaps fire might not possible? really, just anything that makes the R3VOLUTION logo dynamic, and attractive would be great.

I'd prefer not to use a static image if possible, having some sort of effect in motion around the 3VOL would really enhance 1 part of my video. The Fire would be ideal

Yes I know what you mean. Let me see what I can work up. Do you want to compose the logo on top of footage, or with the solid color background?

A solid color background should be fine, black to be more specific

Man, i can't tell you how much i appreciate this! Thanks a lot :o

Here is how I'm gonna generate the fire element (http://www.maxoncomputer.com/tutorial_detail.asp?tutorialID=108). Play the little movies to see it in action.

Then the fire will get masked by the logo with a feathered edge. Should look pretty good.

Looks like you know what you're doing man

Perhaps you can also take a look at my video and give me some suggestions before i release it.

That fire effect looks great in the pictures, can't wait to see it in action!

Cheers for doing this.

Sure I'll take a look at it. The fire is rendering now, takes about 30 seconds to render 1 frame so it's gonna be an hour or so. Once the frames are all rendered the AE masking work goes a lot faster.

Alright sounds good man,

I'm gonna head out and grab some food. Anxiously awaiting the results :D

that looks like a sweet resource. I definitely need to learn how to use after-effects.

It's amazing the power of the tools at our fingertips these days.

Will something like this work for you?

http://alcpac.com/clipz/fire_h264.mov

I can make it longer if need be. Right now it's 4 seconds.

Edit - here's a chant sound file (http://alcpac.com/clipz/rp_chant.mov) that might work for you.

That looks really, really good man! Perhaps it could use a small amount of tweaking? I'll let you judge for yourself.

Here's a quick sketch of how it will look in the video.

It looks great, but perhaps the 3VOL part is a bit too white, and gets kind of faded out by the flames?

I took this screen shot of what the effect looks like when the flames are just burning inside the letters and box. Is something like this at all possible?

Even as it is, it looks REALLY good, imo, what do you think?

Edit: sorry about the crappy file hosting service

Here's a version with fire in the words, and a flame lit on the top. Let me know how you like this one.

If you want to learn how to use AE then I recommend this site.

edit: here's a tutorial for fire text.

Here's another version, kind of in between the other two. If you used some blending modes using all three, you could probably get some pretty nice results.

http://alcpac.com/clipz/fire2_h264.mov

Edit - you might try putting them in slight slow mo, say 75%.

Nice man, that one is great!

As it turns out, i'm going to end up using the 1st and 3rd ones you gave me, and boy do they ever look good combined with the 'roaring fire' audio i've added to the background.

Cheers man, couldn't have done this without you
