Homeland Security TV Channel Online

What are your opinions about this TV channel? What do you think about its existence? Its purpose?

It seems to function as a massive PR outlet, I don't see its real need.

One of the problems that I am learning about here is that line producers, producers and executive rpducers are coming from the industry. The same folks who edit copy for main stream television and cinema will be brining their ideas, or at least influence here. It isn't really the subject matter that is as bad as the overall impression created by intentionally deleting coverage.

I personally see this as another Obama propaganda outlet.

The director of Homeland Security gained enormous power (http://aztlandestroyer.com/voice/?p=34) and lack of oversight in determining what is an act of terror and what isn't. He now has the ability to deploy multi-national troops only on the very basis of his contextualization of an incident. (http://aztlandestroyer.com/voice/?p=59) He does not need Congressional oversight.

Not implying conspiracy here, but it is quite disturbing given our current condition. I think if this channel existed under a Conservative or Libertarian it would be much different. But I think we have to be vigilant about every possible manipulative outlet Obama has access to, or at least discuss it and bring it into the broader dialogue. Orwellian and Obama same letter, different spelling.

Will that rating apply to the semi-nude "body screening cam" channel at the airports?

Will there also be a "back room government deals" channel?

Finally, can we tune in on an "out takes" channel to see the producers/directors/editors (located on the DoHLS mother ship) deciding what ends up on the cutting room floor?
