Advocates for a Republic say
"People have unalienable rights from their Creator"
"Mob rule is dangerous"
"The law is above humans and people cannot vote out certain rights"

Advocates for democracy say
"All people are equal, therefore people should have direct control over their government"

Neither side are very serious or sincere about their conviction for "equality"

Question :
If all people are created equal, why is there fear of mob rule?
Clearly, we fear that people cannot make the best decisions, and cannot be trusted to govern themselves, how can this be if we are "equal"?

Question for direct democracy advocates:
If all people are equal, what's wrong with having representatives and why do we fear abuse of power?
Clearly we fear abuse of power because we cannot trust people NOT to, how is it that all people are equal, yet the basic respect for one another cannot be held and expected?

Question for both:
Why do we need a government if all people are equal?
Are retarded people fit for being leaders or representatives?
If all people are equal, wouldn't property be theft? Isn't it criminal to allow starvation?
Why is socialism and force wrong if all people are equal? Doesn't it mean all people are equally capable and accountable to fight back?
