I am working on a project and trying to help inform a friend at the same time. What would you guys recommend for the best place to start for research on central banking , namely the Fed - it's origins, how the system works, etc. I'm looking for the simplest and most concise book or two and video or two. I can get into the complicated stuff later on but I'm looking for a really good, simple, and concise starting point. Any help would be greatly appreciated - thanks!

The Creature From Jeckyll Island is a book as well as a google video summary by G. Edward Griffin.

The Money Masters has a lot of great history in it.
