Before Ron Paul ran for President in 2008 it was very hard to find any constitutionalists out there. There were about 5 people at the local libertarian party meetings and of course Irwin Schiff, Harry Browne, Aaron Russo, were in the news but only once or twice. There was also John Stossel as the lone constitutional journalist The highest office any libertarian or constitutionalist reached was the county sherriff which was Bill Masters. The idea of a high profile prosecutor writing a book about prosecuting a President for murder over a war was far out there. No one even questioned American Foreign Policy as a result of 9-11.
All this changed by the vision and Presidential campaign of one man. The issue of blowback, debate over the need for a central bank, ending the drug war, are now on mainstream television. Constitutionalist website sites such as this one are all over the internet. State and local governments are now issuing soveriengty resolutions on a routine basis. There have been many aquittals of tax honesty advocates. Irwin Schiff's son is on tv nearly everyday. Vincent Bugilosi wrote a book on Prosectuting Bush for murder over the war in Iraq. Alot high profile journalists routinely talk about Fed printing money out of thin air. All this happened at a time when it is needed most.
