Everyone laughed when that one woman said "I won't have to worry about my mortgage or paying for gas." because Obama will be president.

Who would have guessed it, but Obama gonna pay my rent. No really.

One moment from Tuesday's town hall touched the hearts of our viewers. Henrietta Hughes has been living in her car and made an emotional plea to the president for help.

"I have an urgent need," Hughes told the president. "We need something more than the vehicle and parks to go to. We need our own kitchen and our own bathroom, please help."

"Listen, what's your name," asked the president.

"It's Henrietta Hughes," she said.

President Obama was so moved he got off the stage and went to her.

"We're going to do everything we can," the president told her.

Henrietta's troubles started when her son lost his job in 2003, then they lost their house.

Now the former Lehigh Acres resident lives in her car.

President Obama told Hughes someone with him would talk to her after the event.

Hughes now has a place to call home if she so chooses.

Senator Nick Thompson and his wife have offered Hughes a home after hearing her story at the town hall.

The house, in Fort Denaud near LaBelle, was Chene Thompson's former residence when she worked for the State Attorney's Office in LaBelle.

They're offering the home rent-free for as long as Hughes needs it.

Obama gonna muthafukkin pay my rent, BIATCH!

the funny thing is that he proved one of our main points in doing this.

his people gave the woman the number of a govenment agency to help her.. but a woman from where she lived heard about it and gave her a house..

proving that the private sector has much generosity waiting for a proper outlet, one that the government took long ago..

Oooh, from the website.

“I have an urgent need, unemployment and homelessness, a very small vehicle for my family and I to live in,” she said. “The housing authority has two years’ waiting lists, and we need something more than the vehicle and the parks to go to. We need our own kitchen and our own bathroom. Please help.”

President Obama gave her a kiss on the cheek, telling her, “We’re going to do everything we can to help you, but there are a lot of people like you.” He said his staff would meet with her after the town hall.

key phrase:
We’re going to do everything we can to help you, but...

She's almost in tears as she says "I love you Barack" like a fucking insane stalker.

This dude is letting her use his own house. This is a good thing. No taxpayers involved.

Michelle Malkin has been all over this all day. The thing was an ol' time tent revival. There was another guy there who complained about working at McDonald's with no insurance. Apparently he does not have insurance because he does not want to pay the employee portion of their medical plan.

For the record, the woman who gave Henrietta a house to sleep in is a Republican, which means she actually used her own resources!

Another aside: these folks have been on public assistance for at least 5 years. The economic downturn has nothing to do with their current situation.
