Forks of the Road Heritage Trail. This project would greatly enhance one of the primary gateways to our city by creating an African American/Ethnic Heritage Trail along a stretch of St. Catherine Street between the Forks of the Road Slave Market Site

We all need to send a NEWSTIP email to Glenn Beck and other shows about this one. This one goes beyond absurd! Why don't they just give the 65 people who are getting jobs out of this 1 million each and call it good? Hell, you could give em 92.3 million each and probably stimulate the economy better. This stuff just keep getting sicker by the day.

And part of the reason this thread exists is BECAUSE the 600 million amount was so ridiculous. I think we all still disagree with it at any price, but c'mon you gotta admit at a 1 million price tag this is not really "post-worthy"

Well, that’s good I guess. Someone had emailed me the USmayors link; probably should’ve verified it before posting. Still I don’t really see how one million could possibly be mistakenly entered as six hundred million. My cynical side wonders if they did intend to appropriate that ridiculous sum but once exposed they couldn't backtrack fast enough.
