"The schedule at the link says only that they’ve been invited, not that they’ve confirmed, but the fact that each has been given a specific time slot — Palin speaks in the showcase 4:30 slot on Thursday, the first day — presumably means they’re booked. Interestingly, the 4:30 slot on Friday goes to Ron Paul, proof positive that the GOP’s impressed with the ardor of the rEVOLution and eager to bring them and their money back into the fold."

So I guess the 4:30 slot is good. The networks probably won't cover it though (remember last year?)

Vaguely.

I watched Ron Paul's speech. Must have been on C-SPAN.

CNN stopped filming after McCain's speech, right? I remember hearing some booing when he mentioned illegal immigration. :D

Rush is the distraction here... suddenly he's all for less government and spending...

The comments in the thread about Paul are certainly an encouraging sign that Republicans have changed their tune and finally welcomed the RPRs into the fold with open arms! /sarc

I remember that last year CNN showed live speeches of MCain and Romney. I think MSNBC showed them also? Romney announced he was dropping out at the end of his. Didn't air Ron Paul's speech which got the most applause, but was only on CSPAN and online.

I'm hoping that this year Ron Paul will be more prominently featured considering the fact that he's the only one that's shown knowledge about anything important, and the media isn't quite so dismissive of him now. If they broadcast any speech live it should be his!

Too bad Limbaugh and Palin will be there. The "news" will most likely focus on whatever crap they decide to spout. Let's hope they eat some bad peanut butter earlier in the week.

i read throught the comments: what a disgusting bunch. they really seem to want Rush to be their spokesman... which begs the question: can you say landslide?

Out of all the GOP presidential candidates who ran last year, which one has at least three representatives speaking on different panels at CPAC and a reception?

Ron Paul

As a longtime CPAC attendee, this is a very rare happening.

Ron Paul has some momentum.

The vitriol against Ron Paul has certainly died-down on many of those conservative blogs except among a few Iraq war-obsessed die-hards.

I think many never hated Ron Paul or his beliefs so much as the passion of a republican primary made it "Ron Paul vs. their guy" and caused them to go into attack mode with him. HotAir was pretty much the Fred Thompson Forums when he was running.

Most conservatives at CPAC didn't really know much about Ron Paul until after the primaries and the money bombs and blimp.

Ron Paul spoke at CPAC at 2007, but very few people noticed and he got very few votes in the straw poll.

Who is going to give the introduction? I'm assuming it won't be Barr.

I would like to see Gary Johnson do it.

I think John Tate (C4L President) is.
