www.Retakecongress.com is already a success and has grown in just 2 days by leaps and bounds.

We currently have 14 candidates that have agreed to our 3 point platform and pledged to honor it. We will be adding these candidate and their websites to the web page ASAP!

Our goal is to fill as many of the 535 members of the house and senate as possible in 2010.

If you are or know a liberty candidate running for office please have them contact us at managers@retakecongress.com to receive approval to be added to our website and obtain all the support every candidate will receive.

Come join us in our fight to take back our congress at www.retakecongress.com

Please keep bumped and send emails and post on blogs.

Thank you patriots!

I will support your effort.

However, I would prefer a somewhat different foreign policy statement because I think it is too generic and also too restrictive . For example, you could mention that we should have zero military personnel overseas except in countries where congress explicitly declares a war. Yet "may not aid foreign powers" is too restrictive. If we declare war on a country, then we may want to work together with another foreign power during the time in which war is declared. So we should be allowed foreign troops in countries where there is an ongoing war against another country where we have both declared war. So if Australia declares war on a country, and we have declared war on that same country, then maybe it would be wise to allow troop in Australia to work with them.

I checked the site, and have a question. What is your enforcement mechanism? That is, how do you keep elected congress-critters accountable and in line?

I am wondering why there is nothing in the oath explicit about the existence of federal departments like the department of education, social security, etc.

I mean that is what really makes a Ron Paul Republican. The three points you've listed are easier ones. The concept of a smaller federal government is something that congress really seem to hate.

We have a formal pledge that all candidates we will support sign. I will not go into detail of this at this point but be rest assured we will make sure the pledge has teeth.

If you are looking for 535 Ron Pauls It most likely isn't going to happen.

2nd : We are also not trying to goto the moon on a bicycle here, the 3 points are 3 of the 4 points Ron Paul used with other candidates.

Wait to see the platforms of the candidates and then decide who you will support before you judge their possible motives.

We must first walk before we can run.

They should start being posted this week along with the URL of their website.

Remember we are just getting started and will have everything in place within 10 days I believe.

You are right. We can hope for maybe two Ron Paul type of people in 2010, and that is if we have a lot of success.

However, I'd be very weary of anybody who signs that list because they could just as easily be Communist. Hugo Chavez may actually be willing to sign a pledge like that. He would probably claim to be for all three of those things though perhaps not transparency. I wouldn't be particularly happy if congress was re-taken by the American people, but re-taken by socialists. Like Newsweek said, many Americans if not most are socialists though they would never admit to being the traitors they are.
