Hell, I'd feel better about the whole thing if he'd only be willing to meet with Kucinich. He'll talk to Iran but won't talk to a certain member of his own party...

We're not in a position to "demand" a damn thing.

Speak for yourself then. I like to make demands.

How about people within the Republican Party meet with Paul first? ... The leaders of the GOP want nothing to do with someone who has enough sense to see that the War on Terror is a hoax. They're just as bad as Obama and they're in his party.

If we don't ask we won't receive.

I don't think Obama and his crew are stupid enough to not grasp the implications of such a meeting. Obama is an icon of the establishment status quo, and thus can figure out why such a humble and polite man like Paul is a threat to him. The most effective strategy for Obama to deal with Paul's philosophic objections is to pretend they do not exist.

Even if we could some how manage to get Obama to acknowledge this is even being asked of him, he could simply shrug it off and say "I'm too busy with Presidential matters".

Don't waste your time making this one. For starters, it'll never happen. And even if it did, Obama would never change his positions based on the meeting. You're wasting energy that could be more productively used. Take the time you'd spend demanding a meeting and instead print up 200 slim jims and windshield flyer in a commuter lot or something.

Obama is to arrogant to meet with Dr. Paul. HE won. Remember? :p

It's sure make for a great soundbite if the Doctor would call him out in his own way during an interview, saying that he would welcome the meeting at any time to discuss Austrian economics and sound monetary policy with him.
Hannity calls out Obama to have a beer with him, why couldn't RP? :)
