From the speech:

Dr Brzezinski began with the crisis in American world leadership. Financial
self-indulgence, wanton war, and ethical transgressions such as those
typified by Guantanamo Bay’s Camp X-Ray have heavily damaged America’s
reputation in the world and its capacity to act. This situation is compounded
by two main global developments.

The first development can be referred to as ‘a global political awakening.’

Almost all of humankind is politically activated and issues of fundamental

well-being are emerging as critical international issues: climate change, social

inequality, and so on. Furthermore, there is a marked shift occurring in global

power distribution – from the Atlantic (the old European colonial powers and

the United States) to Asia-Pacific (namely Japan and China).

In this thread (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=176993) I presented the concept of the vice, or Pincers, strategy where
America's middle-class are being squeezed by pressure from above as well
as below. When thinking about Brzezinski's comment regarding a global awakening,
I believe that he maybe setting the stage for the pressure
from below that is planned.

If one can imagine Brzezinski as a salesman who is
traveling the world, communicating to elite journalists and think tank members, in
order to set the stage for future world events, framing the context of what's about to come,
then is makes senses that his current goal is to set the stage for
widespread dissent, which will appear as if it emanates from the grassroots.
Unfortunately, as we know the backstory of Czechoslovakia (as discussed in other thread (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=176993)),
we know that these grassroots efforts are planned and funded by the same people who
are exerting pressure from above.

If this is the case, we can expect the pressure from below to push for laws regulating
Carbon emissions, human activity, rural land use, water use, etc. All in all, if a
push is made to legislate the UN's Agenda 21, then we should be prepared for
thousands of new laws which highly restrict our individual liberties.

I'm curious what others think here.

I think hearing someone as long among the elites as Brzezinski talking about social inequality sets my B.S. detector off.
