Now I know that we are more inclined to list speeches by liberty-minded individuals, but I'm strictly speaking about historical importance
What speeches significantly impacted American society?
I'm currently enrolled in a course where we must tear apart the rhetoric of various speeches and dissect the chief argument
The obvious choices are
1.) Lincoln's Gettysburg Address
2.) Give Me Liberty or Give Me Death
3.) MLK's I Have A Dream
4.) FDR's Pearl Harbor Address
Give Me Liberty would be a great one, but I want to do a unique one.
I've decided to do the following: First, analyze a pro-liberty speech and second, tear apart an anti-liberty speech.
What are some good examples of liberty and anti-liberty speeches???
Could be the Cross of Gold speech. Could be Ron Paul's most important speech (which one would that be???)
thanks
