Check out these stats for the google searches for Fred Thompson, who announced he was running for president on Jay Leno, vs. Ron Paul and other candidates that were on the Fox News Debate on the same night.
Note: You can add another person if you wish, but I've found Rudy Giuliani, Mitt Romney, and John McCain all had similar results as Huckabee did. Tom Tancredo didn't even register and Brownback barely did.

Looks like Fred got one hell of a bump, but he's back down below Ron Paul once again. Guess people got to know Fred and didn't like what they saw :D

I think the reason Thompson made such a big spike wasn't because of Leno, but the fact that every single news outlet told everyone that he would release stuff on line on that website on that day. I think that the fact that traffic plummeted shows how weak his support really is.

Good point!

I'm sure Leno didn't hurt though!

Now all we need is for Paris Hilton to say, "Ron Paul is hot!"

I aggree - NO ONE has calculated for me what ALL this MSM coverage is worth to the other candidates - That RP hasn't been getting

THE MSM gAVE Freddy boy MILLIONS in free advertising - too bad the guy is past his prime and has little substance

Just for kicks I ran a blog search. Identical to the search I usually run for Ron Paul.

Ron Paul always has a one or two "hate" entries, but Thompson has a lot more negative stuff written than positive.

Although I fear he is the CFR candidate, so the opinions don't really matter.

Look at the cities comparison...Nashville for Freddie? And we're the spammers?
