The GOP under Bush was happy to spend over $100 billion on reconstruction efforts in Iraq with zero accountability. By the time its finally over, the total cost of Bush's war will likely be over a three trillion.
Thats three million million= $3,000,000,000,000.00
Too bad it's only now the GOP starts to remember they told everyone they are fiscal conservatives. I guess now that they are no longer in power, the GOP will stand up for their so-called principles.

higher taxes would be more responsible than deficit spending.
Imagine if we had to pay in taxes today all the money the government is spending... no one would have anything left in their checks...ever....
And this would cause an uprising... so deficit spending hides the goverment growth and future burden on our children.
