Dawson needs to go. He's the whites only club guy.

12:30: Second ballots are now being passed out, as are boxed lunches. What takes the longest in the voting process is that all 168 members, called on by state, must walk up to the front of the room -- graduation style -- and drop their ballot in the box.

US possessions vote too!

half way through... look's like it's the same Good Ole Neocon Fossils with a spiced-up couple of new NEOCONS.

Just look at the people that are walking up to drop the votes into the ballot box...

Looks like a Retired Mayonaise BINGO crowd, so Sad

Just look at the votes! The serving chairman under Bush and destruction of the party was Duncan. And the morons wanted him back!

It's evident these fools are all about "strategy" and "how can we beat the Dems". They could really give a shit about policy, principles, the Constitution, integrity, or anything that matters. The GOP is seriously deluded to keep resurrecting the same worn out BS.

Steele is a clown and dissed RP heavily during the primaries.

Lucille
01-30-2009, 01:03 PM
Duncan just withdrew. Dawson should really do the same!

Michael Steele and Ken Blackwell (http://washingtonindependent.com/28335/live-at-the-rnc-steele-and-blackwell-talking) just conferred in the hallway outside the main room, with Steele doing most of the talking. Steele tried to brush aside the ideological disagreements they’d had (”from day one”) and stress how both of them (”and J.C.,” referring to J.C. Watts, the former Oklahoma congressman) wanted to change the GOP’s image.

Conferring down the hall: Saul Anuzis and a Duncan supporter from Massachusetts, clearly talking about an alliance to stop Dawson, though it was unclear whether they were talking about uniting behind Anuzis, Duncan, or Steele.

What's the "Proxy Committee?" I don't like the sound of that. Carey, who called for it, is our outgoing MN GOP Chair.

Lucille

Rumor has it on twitter that there's a HUGE shift to Steele. Let's hope so. If Dawson wins, the GOP is dead (but maybe that would be so bad after all!)

Steele was the guy who wanted RP out of the debates. I thought Blackwell sounded decent. Too bad he didn't gain traction. At least Duncan is gone!

Lucille
01-30-2009, 01:52 PM
Blackwell has the floor. I d rather have him run for office in Ohio anyway!

Withdrawing.

I think he's trying to steer them away from Dawson and to Steele. He officially endorsed ... Steele! The room cheers.

Yup. He endorsed Steele.

I am going to send Dawson hate mail for staying in this race.

The lady who is running as co-chair with Blackwell, is Tina Benkaiser, the Texas GOP chair. She is the one we are having to sue for cheating at the state convention. I hope Blackwell and Benky get dead last.

? Who?

Scribbler de Stebbing
01-30-2009, 02:04 PM
The Red Hats. They were calling the shots at our MN state convention, and were at the Repub Natl Convention. Their job was to taser anyone who stepped out of line. Or something like that. AKA the McCain-Bots.

Senator Voinovich has stated he will not run in 2010.

Thanks! I'd like to see Blackwell go for it (even though I've heard stories about him...)

This should really be a public vote. They're there to represent the GOP body of their respective states. Those who elect their state chairs and natl committee(wo)men deserve to know how they're voting to determine if they're being represented.

Lucille

twitter: Anuzis and Steele just left together through thr side door stage right. Looked very serious ??? Deal?

Oh God... I'm scared....

Steele 79; Dawson 69; Anuzis 20

Lucille
01-30-2009, 02:17 PM
That is just too f^cking close! What a$$hats are voting for Whites Only??? WTF????

Lucille
01-30-2009, 02:18 PM
Anuzis withdrawing now. He has to endorse Steele...

Lucille

You know I make take Dawson over Steele, what has Dawson ever done to RP? He is also from Mark Stanford's state.

On the other hand, Michael Steele said during the first debate "Ron Paul, it's OVER!!!!!"

I cannot be happy with Steele

Scribbler de Stebbing

They increased the proxy votes by two. Funny thing is, the guy who did it, Ron Carey, is infamous in MN for "finding" new delegates in order to change vote outcomes. Eh, I probably just have my tinfoil on a little tight today.

I don't like either but whites only is a PR nightmare.

Steele was good on RP during the chairman debate (but, they all pandered except Blackwell).

Heee!, Scribbler.

Can you not get anywhere these days without pandering? Truly pathetic.

Lucille
01-30-2009, 02:50 PM
The fact that Dawson even made it this far is going to be bad for the GOP. He should never have been allowed to run.

Lucille
01-30-2009, 02:52 PM
And the winner is....

Steel 91, Dawson 77.

Steele wins.
