CSPAN needs a phone-screener. The callers started bad, and only got worse.

The first few "Republicans" only wanted to complain about the bailout passing - one even wanted Paul to tell the rest of the "Senators" to not pass the bill like the House did.

Then some horrible propagandists - either through ineptitude or indoctrination - that equate economic liberty with no street signs or rules, blame Reagan for shrinking the size of government, and try to align Paul with big business. Luckily Paul is such a calm and controlled person, and he never really got on these people. At the end he called a lady a Socialist, which was more than justified after the tirade she tried to go on.

The arguments against us are getting shallower, weaker, more personal, more emotional, and our basic principles are standing strong against the ever feebler attacks. I hope we have a country left to take back before the tide turns.

And one caller even called Ron a "Useful Idiot," thinking he wants to help bankers!

You mean they need a better phone screener?

The callers are a completely clueless. Can you imagine what Ron was thinking. "Oh shit, we are in bigger trouble than I thought. Not only the government is clueless but so are the people."

It makes me feel sad. People are freakin idiots.

His initial intro was spot on I thought. Clearly articulated and not rushed. The part where he explains himself is top notch.

I wish he could give a few seconds of dialogue to a distinction of Austrian and Keynesian. Average Americans don't realize there are different schools.

I came away with the impression that the only screening process they had was keeping the queue over an hour long.

Remember that C-Span is funded by Cable companies "to service government." I wouldn't put it past them to just stack these "callers" (some of whom, like some of us, are just trying to make some political point when we call a show like this) with people trying to make Paul look dumb to the average viewer.
